Mistborn: The Hero of Ages – Brandon Sanderson – Episode 62

The Buddies close out Brandon Sanderson’s epic Mistborn trilogy with book three: The Hero of Ages. It just felt right being back in the Mistborn world and revisiting old friends Vin, Elend, Sazed, TenSoon, and (our favorite) Spook. The Buddies got into deep conversations about the book and the ending of the series, as well as deeper more meaningful conversations about life in general. They discussed topics like if it’s normal to drink milk regularly, clothing metaphors, and why dictators can be good sometimes. The Buddies take down another Mistborn book as they continue onto book 2 The Well of Ascension by Brandon Sanderson. Mistborn: Final Empire (Part 3-Finish) – Brandon Sanderson – Episode 29

The Buddies flare all of their metals and burn through the second half of Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn: Final Empire. They chat about the benefits of reading, debating, religion, and of course face tattoos. The deep discussion also had the Buddies drawing parallels between the book and Forrest Gump/Jenny’s relationship, discussing the science behind being a eunuch, and reconsidering Bugs Bunny’s motivational tactics. Mistborn: Final Empire (Parts 1 & 2) – Brandon Sanderson – Episode 28

The Buddies enter into the Mistborn Saga as they read the first half of Brandon Sanderson’s epic fantasy novel: Final Empire. This episode was a bit off the rails as the Buddies jumped around a lot and literally discussed how trains should be off rails. They broached many other topics as well including the religion of Ja (Morant), trilogies, noticeable colors and many more non sequiturs. Jump on board the train to crazy town and come predict what is next for Kelsier and Vin.
