The Terminal List – Book Club Questions

Welcome to the Buddy Book Club – we have a light-hearted comedic podcast that covers a variety of books. We recently read The Terminal List by Jack Carr, you can catch the podcast here, if you’re interested or check out our Rotten Tomatoes Variance article about the recent show on Amazon.

Our book club questions try to be a little more outside the box/comedic than your typical book club questions – hopefully you enjoy them.

Book Club Questions – The Terminal List

-> What type of car do you drive, and what does that say about you?

In the book it seemed like there was a particular fascination about the cars everyone drove, if you drove a new, foreign vehicle = you’re a bad guy, old muscle car = patriot

-> Lot of great kills in this book, what was your favorite, who deserved the worst death?

I personally loved the tomahawk-intestine kill, but I kind of wish he saved it for someone more deserving.

-> Do you think James Reece went a little too hard on California?

As a California resident I did notice him talking a lot of shit about California, while I think a lot of it is warranted, it did seem excessive.

-> If you ended up being wanted by the government, do you have friends you could turn to and what realistically do you think they could do to help you?

Unlike Garth Brooks – James Reece had a lot of friends in high places, getting money, intel, Mexican Cartel information, equipment and private jet access.

-> If you started today, how long do you think it would take for you train and even qualify to be a Navy SEAL.

I think it’d probably take me 2 years to train, but I don’t think I’d be mentally strong enough, to ever make it through.

-> Did you think the bad guys we’re a little on the nose?

Seemed like the characters were a little too black and white with, the good-guys being all good and bad guys being all bad. At one point Lorraine Hartley says, “fuck the constitution”, it had me rolling my eyes a bit.

-> How do you think they did casting the show?
